2020 PAPA Regional Technical Meetings

This is official notice that we are canceling this year’s 2020 PAPA Western, Central, & Eastern Regional Technical Meetings due to the recommendations of the PA Department of Health, the CDC, and the following Directive issued by Governor Wolf March 12, 2020..

Wolf Administration Provides Guidance to Commonwealth Employees on Travel and Large Gatherings

This Directive from the Governor restricts travel by Commonwealth of PA Employees and prohibits them from attending events, meetings, conferences, etc. until further notice. A majority of the presenters at our Regional Technical Meetings are PennDOT or PTC staff, therefore, the need to cancel these meetings. We are sorry that we have to do this, but we feel this is in the best interest of everyone’s well-being.

Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, we will start making refunds to the 350+ attendees who registered for the meetings. If you paid by credit card, you will receive an automatic email from the credit card company advising of the refund to your credit card. If you paid by check, you will be receiving a refund check in the mail within a few weeks. Also, we are planning to schedule a Webinar in April or May to cover all topics that were to be covered at the Regional Technical Meetings. We are working with NECEPT as to how to handle registration so that attendees will be able to receive NECEPT credits. We will forward Webinar information to you as soon as it’s available.

Again, we are sorry we had to cancel this year’s Regional Technical Meetings. Your health and well-being was our top concern in making this difficult decision.

The PAPA Regional Technical Meetings scheduled for March 17-19, 2020, were cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus and statewide shutdown.
