Thank you for your support of and partnership with the Pennsylvania Asphalt Pavement Association (PAPA). Over the last six years, we have strived to achieve our vision to be “the recognized and respected voice of the Pennsylvania asphalt paving industry.” Together we have played a role in some significant achievements – the most notable of which was the passage of the transportation funding Act 89 in 2013.
In 2009, Gary Hoffman became the eighth Executive Director in PAPA’s 83-year history. When hired, Gary made a five-year commitment to lead the Association in this crucial role, and he has now determined to step aside from this full-time role.
It is with great pleasure the PAPA’s Executive Committee announces the appointment of Charles Goodhart as the next Executive Director, effective June 1, 2015. Charlie, as he prefers to be called, has nearly 40 years of experience in transportation.
Gary Hoffman intends to work alongside Charlie in a part-time role as Director of Technical Services.
Please join me and the PAPA Board in thanking Gary Hoffman for his service and welcoming and supporting Charles Goodhart as the next Executive Director of PAPA.
